The Cause: Men’s Mental Health

At Mental Miles Run Club, we believe in the transformative power of movement and the outdoors as medicine for mental health. This ride isn’t just about the miles—it’s about coming together to raise awareness and support for Mental Health.

Mental Miles Run Club (find us on Instagram and Facebook) is all about uniting people through epic challenges that inspire positive mental well-being and build community.

Our Goal
Raise at least $5,000 for a mental health The Mental Health Association of Central Florida (MHACF).
Established in 1946, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida is the leading community-based nonprofit in Central Florida dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and promoting the overall mental health of all. The organization is entirely funded by grants and donations and all of the services it provides to the community are free.

Last year it:

  • Provided free referrals to Mental Health Services to 1,538 people via our Connection Program.
  • Delivered free therapy, medication management, and other support at our Outlook Clinic which received 4,023 patient visits.
  • Represented the best interests of 511 patients at Behavioral Health Hospitals who were hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act.
  • Hosted 7 different peer support groups including Women’s Support, Women’s Support in Spanish, Sexual Trauma Support, Men’s Support, Grief Support, Suicide Support, Processing Support, Meditation and Mindfulness.

The Experience

We’re going all in to create a ride you’ll never forget:

Cost
– $250 per rider
– Covers food, hydration, support, and shared lodging expenses

What You’ll Need
– A road bike or race bike (no cruisers here!)
– Rental options are available if needed (at your own cost).

Food
– All meals provided:
– Friday & Saturday: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
– Sunday: Breakfast and lunch
– On-the-go hydration and fuel will be loaded onto bikes each day.

Sleep
– RV camping: Each RV sleeps 5 riders plus a driver/support crew.
– We’ll book campgrounds near the day’s endpoint for a cozy night of bonding around the campfire.

Timing
– Expect 8-9 hours of riding per day, including rest and meal breaks.
– Plenty of time in the evenings for dinners, campfires, and epic stories.

Fun & Extras
– Cold plunges, massages, and therapeutic activities to keep your mind and body refreshed (minus the ayahuasca—kidding!).
– Nightly Themes: Expect surprises, laughter, and bonding. Bring your humor and a great attitude!
